Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Nutri Logic AI ("the app", "we", "us"), operated by Eoin McMahon in Ireland, collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the app you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information

• Email and password when you create an account, or your identity token when you sign in with Google or Apple. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never visible to us.
• Name, if provided during sign-in or onboarding, used to personalise the app.

Profile and nutrition data

• Onboarding answers: age, biological sex, weight, height, goals, activity level, dietary preferences, and any medical conditions you choose to share. These are used solely to calculate your personalised nutrition plan.
• Your food log, saved meals, hydration entries, and generated plan.

Health and activity data

• With your explicit permission, the app reads steps, active calories burned, and exercise minutes from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android).
• This data is read only — the app never writes to Apple Health or Health Connect.
• Health data is used solely to adjust your daily calorie target and display your activity in the app. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with third parties for their own purposes.

Meal photos

• Photos you take with the meal scanner are sent securely to our AI processing service to analyse the food. Photos are processed to generate the nutrition breakdown and are not used to identify you.

2. How we use your information

• To create and secure your account.
• To calculate and adapt your personalised calorie and macro plan.
• To provide AI features: meal photo analysis, food lookup, coaching, and meal analysis. Your questions, food descriptions, and photos are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI via our secure server-side proxy.
• To sync your data across your devices via our cloud database (Supabase).
• To process Premium subscriptions via RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers required to run the app:

• Supabase — authentication and encrypted cloud storage of your profile, plan, and logs.
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes meal photos, food queries, and coach conversations to generate responses. Requests are routed through our server so your account credentials are never exposed.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription status. Receives purchase receipts from Apple/Google, not your nutrition data.
• Apple / Google — process payments for subscriptions under their own privacy policies.

4. Data retention and deletion

• Your data is retained while your account is active.
• You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@nutrilogicai.com from your account email. We will delete your data from our systems within 30 days.
• Signing out removes your data from the device; local data is also cleared when the app is uninstalled.

5. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with our providers using industry-standard encryption. AI requests are authenticated per user and processed server-side so that API credentials never live on your device.

6. Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission). To exercise any right, email support@nutrilogicai.com.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Health disclaimer

Nutri Logic AI provides general nutrition information and AI-generated estimates. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before making significant dietary changes, particularly if you have a medical condition.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the date above and, where appropriate, notified in the app.
